It Rains In Spain

Introducing Murcia

Murcia      Lorca      Cartagena      Costa Cálida

Guide to Murcia Spain. It Rains in Spain.

Heavily influenced by the Muslims in centuries gone by, Murcia is the oft ignored little sister of Valencia and Andalucia, wedged in between and harbouring some fascinating secrets. For a region in the south of Spain and between such highly visited areas, Murcia is satisfyingly free of tourist droves, and it’s broad coastlines (Costa Cálida) provide wonderful, calm beaches.

The two urban centres of note, Murcia and Cartagena are pleasant enough, with the former providing a number of intriguing sights and a pleasantly jovial and youthful atmosphere. The walking possibilities in the national park of Sierra Espuña are varied and quiet, yet the real attraction of Murcia lies in it’s underdeveloped coastline.
